Central School District Annual Meeting
will be June 9, 2020 per Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.26
The Budget Hearing
will be held remotely on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. No in-person participation is permitted. The Budget Hearing will be streamed live on
the Afton Central School District Website at www.aftoncsd.org.
The Annual Meeting is for the purpose of voting on the school budget, a capital
project proposition, school bus proposition and school board member election. The vote may not be held in person. Absentee ballots will be used for
voting. The reason for voting by
absentee ballot is temporary illness.

The school will be attempting to send to qualified voters of the District
an absentee ballot together with a postage-paid return envelope and
instructions for completing the same. If
for some reason you do not receive a ballot in the mail by May 27 and would
like to vote, please contact the Clerk. Additional
absentee ballots may be requested by any other qualified voter by contacting
the District Clerk by email at [email protected] or by calling

If you are a qualified voter of the District: (1) a citizen of the United States of
America, (2) eighteen years of age or older, and (3) a resident within the
School District for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the annual vote and
election and you choose to vote, absentee ballots should be returned in the self-addressed stamped envelope that will be provided to you. In order to be counted, all absentee voters’ ballots must be received in the Afton Central School Office of the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the vote, June 9, 2020.
