In the Fall, 4th Graders from Ms. Waffle’s class entered a poetry contest with Young Writers USA. They wrote poems about a peculiar pet for their Peculiar Pet Poetry Writing Contest. Madelynn Hauptmann, Keira Sperry, Nathan Donholt, Michael McGraw, Addisyn All, Mika Caporale, and Aisley Ruff had their poems selected as winners in the contest along with other students from other schools around the United States. They received certificates, and had their poems published last month in the book, Peculiar Pets 2022, along with the other winners and their poems. Nice work, Students! You make your Afton community proud!
