Mrs. Reeder's Animal Science class recently welcomed Senator Peter Oberacker and Assemblyman Joe Angelino for an exciting hands-on learning experience. Cornell’s Raptor Program brought three live birds of prey and shared insights about the importance of each species, captivating both students and guests.
As part of the course, students also have the opportunity to earn three college credits through SUNY Cobleskill, making the class both engaging and educational.
This experience highlights the long-standing tradition of agricultural education at Afton Central School, home to the third oldest FFA chapter in New York State.
