All practices will be held at Harpursville. Varsity athletes will use the lockers in the Elementary School until further notice. The locker room will open 30 minutes prior to practice. Please remember our expectations: "Be on time and ready. Early is on time; on time is late." Athletes must be dressed and on the field/weight room by the designated start time. Missing or being late without prior communication is unacceptable. All ninth-graders are welcome to try out for varsity football.  The try out is the first five days of practice.  At the end of the fifth day the coaches will meet with all of the ninth-graders to discuss what would be best for them this season.

We're excited to kick off a new fundraiser, the Football Fantasy Sweepstakes! Each card costs $25 and gives participants three randomly assigned NFL teams for the first 17 weeks of the season. The top scorer will win $200, with 14 additional prizes each week. Each card also includes coupons for Beer Tree Farm, Valvoline, and Belden Hill. Every athlete will receive 10 cards to sell initially. Those who sell all 10 will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win $100. All cards, sold or unsold, must be returned by August 29th. Varsity athletes will receive their cards during practice tomorrow. Modified athletes can pick them up during varsity practice times next week or on August 25th.

Lastly, this will be the last joint "This Week in Football" email. Starting next week, the modified coaches will handle communication for the Modified team, while Varsity Coaches will do the same for the varsity team. Thank you, and we look forward to a fantastic season!
