On Sunday, October 26, 2025, nine members from the Afton FFA Chapter and one member from the Oxford FFA Chapter attended the Annual Chenango County Farm Bureau Meeting at Austin Farms Enterprises LLC in Bainbridge, NY.

Students had the opportunity to network with local agricultural leaders, learn about current issues facing farmers, and gain insight into how the New York State Farm Bureau supports agriculture at the state and national levels.
We’re proud to share that Afton FFA Advisor Cat Reeder was elected to the Board of Directors for the Chenango County Farm Bureau—bringing a strong youth and ag education voice to the table!

The Afton and Oxford FFA members represented their schools with professionalism, pride, and passion, showing the next generation’s commitment to leadership and the future of agriculture in Chenango County and beyond.

A huge thank you to Vicky Gregory for sponsoring the FFA members’ dinners—your continued support helps make experiences like this possible!
Students can sign up for free student memberships through NY Farm Bureau – this is a great way to expose them to advocacy and agricultural issues information and to show our support for one of our biggest supporters: members.nyfb.org/StudentJoin#vaff
