Not only was the experiment engaging, but it also created some unique colors and patterns.

FEMA emergency alert system test to occur Wednesday, Oct. 4
On Wednesday, Oct. 4 at approximately 2:20 p.m., the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts. This test will send emergency alert messages and sounds to cell phones, radios and televisions across the country.
Because the test will take place during school hours and may potentially cause confusion, we want to make sure you’re aware of what the messages will look like.
• The Wireless Emergency Alerts message will be sent to all consumer cell phones. This message will include a notification with a vibration and an alert tone. The message will simply state, “This is a test of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is necessary.”
• The Emergency Alert System test is a radio and television broadcast that will last 60 seconds. The message will announce, “This is a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System, issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, covering the United States from 2:20 to 2:50 p.m. Eastern Time. This is only a test, and the public does not need to take any action.”
In the event that the Oct. 4 test is postponed due to widespread severe weather or other significant events, the backup testing date is Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the same time.
The Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by the National Honor society is in the New Gym from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today!
We hope to see you there!
