Varsity boys basketball lost 61-32 to Unatego. Equan Patterson scored 10 points with Ryan Wright adding 8.
JV boys basketball lost 38-26 to Unatego. Aidan Rogers led the way with 8 points. Several players contributed with multiple baskets and solid defense.

The JV Girls basketball team traveled to GMU last night. The game was a defensive battle with many Afton players recording steals and rebounds.
The team scored half of their points in the 4th quarter but came up short in the last few seconds. GMU won 25 to 20.
Anna Cable led the team with many steals and 11 points. Kate Baciuska came off the bench to also record many steals and finished with 4 points.
The team plays next on this Friday at home vs Deposit/Hancock 1/6/23.

Bowling had a great day at the Christmas Tournament in Hancock, the Girls Team finished 6th and the Boys Team finished 4th out of 8 teams. Nice job Crimson Knights!

The JV girl's basketball team lost today to Stamford 49 to 30.
Anna Cable led Afton scoring with 10 points going 4 for 6 from the foul line. ZetaBea Bushaw had 6.
Abigail Hoyt off the bench had a solid all around game with tough defense, getting steals, and 2 pts.
The Teams next game will be next Tuesday 1/3 at GMU.
JV boys basketball lost both games of the Pat Grasso Tournament. The team got down early in both games and worked hard to compete down the stretch. Bobby Mercilliot played well in both games, while Corey Sager added 14 points in the second game. Many members of the team contributed key minutes and points.

The JV girl's basketball team lost 29 to 31 to GMU at the 1st round of the Stamford Christmas Tournament.
The team tied the game with about a minute left and took a 2 point lead. GMU came up with a steal after tying the game and took the lead just before the buzzer.
Anna Cable led all scorers with 15 points.
The team only had 7 players today and everyone played great team defense.
Afton will play tomorrow 12/28 at 1:00 p.m. in the first game.
