Afton FFA Students attend Oswegatchie Educational Center Week 2 from July 7-12th. The Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, New York is nestled on 1200 acres of wooded land within the Adirondack Park. Oswegatchie is owned and operated by the New York FFA Leadership Training Foundation, Inc. Campers participated in leadership training, environmental education, and outdoor recreation.

After two years proudly serving this outstanding community, I have accepted the superintendency for the Oxford Academy and Central School District. This was an incredibly difficult decision, as Afton CSD has become a home for me professionally. When I first arrived in 2022, I was immediately inspired by the dedication of our educators, the spirit of our families, and most importantly - the dedication and potential of our remarkable students. Together we have celebrated many successes - including improving school facilities, expanding STEM offerings, and focusing on strategic planning designed to support all district stakeholders. I am grateful for the school board's support during my tenure, and I thank all of our administrators, teachers, and staff for their dedication to empowering our students each day. Most importantly, I appreciate our Afton families who entrusted their children's education to our schools. The search for a new superintendent has begun, with the school board providing more details in the coming weeks. I pledge to work closely with the board during this transition period to ensure a seamless change in leadership for our district. I am confident that the groundwork has been laid for Afton Central School District to continue making great strides under new leadership. While I look forward to the opportunities ahead, Afton CSD will always be a beloved home. Thank you for the honor of serving as your superintendent.
