Hello, Afton Community! The sixth-grade class of 2031 will be hosting a Movie Night: Wild Robot and there will be a Basket Raffle on Friday, February 7th at 6:00 p.m.! The movie night is free for the community and concessions are available for purchase. Tickets are on sale for the basket raffle. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Tickets will also be on sale at the movie and winners will be chosen during intermission of Wild Robot. Contact Jessica Wheeler with questions or ticket sales!

Hello, Afton Community! The girls JV basketball team has an important home game tonight against Greene at 5:30 p.m. If they win, they will finish 2nd in the MAC out of 11 teams and advance to the MAC league semi-finals with the opportunity to compete for a league championship! The varsity boys also play Greene tonight at home at 7:00 p.m. Both teams would really appreciate your support tonight! We hope to see you there!
Afton middle schoolers, Khloe Wayman (8th grade) and Roman Lucchese (6th grade) participated in the Regional Spelling Bee at SUNY Oneonta. Roman Lucchese placed 5th out of 28 contestants. Way to go!

Hello Afton Community, Afton Central School District is closed January 29th in recognition of the Lunar New Year. Classes will resume on Thursday, January 30th.
The girls modified volleyball team won their second match against Unatego. The girls played great and won all four sets! In the first set we won 25-10, second set 25-7, third set 25- 15, and last set 25-11. Way to go, Team!

Congrats to the JV girls for their 63-20 win against Delaware Academy on Thursday. Appalonia Bushaw led the Knights with 24 points, and 8 of our players scored! Jenna Wilson, Misty Bushaw, and Rylee Rupakus each scored a three-pointer! The girls consistently boxed out on rebounds! Great job, Team!
Congratulations to our modified girls’ volleyball team who won their first match against Unadilla. We won the first set (25-14), Unadilla won (26-24), and we won the final set (25-16). Great job, Team!

Afton students visited the Binghamton Weather Center to learn how our National Weather Service uses radar and satellite to monitor our climate and changing weather patterns!


We are thankful for Martin Luther King Jr.'s inspirational leadership promoting equality.

Congrats to the JV girls for their 59-24 win over Deposit/Hancock on Thursday. Appalonia Bushaw led the Knights with 21 points and 11 steals. Rylee Rupakus also added 10 points. Megan Racine and McKenna Ross combined for 16 rebounds. Misty Bushaw hit the team's only 3-pointer in the win.


The JV girls lost at Unatego tonight in overtime, 44-38. The girls started the game on a 24-4 run but were not able to overcome a ferocious comeback by a tough Unatego team. Appalonia Bushaw led the Knights with 14 points. Misty Bushaw led on defense with 6 steals. The girls take on Delaware Academy in their next game in Afton on Thursday, January 23rd, at 5:30 p.m.
Our Afton STEP students enjoyed using Micro:bit robots and CoDrone EDU drones to develop their technology skills! Keep up the great work, Students!
