This is a reminder that the annual school budget vote is on May 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The JV softball team finished up their season last night with a win against Unatego. The final score was 24-8. The girls improved tremendously this season both in the field and at the plate. Way to go, Girls!!
Varsity baseball will host Schenevus for sectional play on Monday May 20th at 4:30!
The Spring Chorus and Band concert is tonight at 7:00 p.m.
Afton Central School Presents our Family Fun Day which is a Community Carnival!
It is on Tuesday, May 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
It is free to enter! There will be a bounce house, yard games, face painting, a chicken fundraiser for seniors, crafts, and much More!
It will be located outside the elementary cafeteria! We hope to see you there!

On Thursday May 9th Afton's 7th graders visited Howe Caverns.
They toured the cave and mined for gemstones.
The tour guide complimented Mr.Carle on their outstanding behavior. Well done, Students!
Congratulations to Adleigh Noone for winning the most recent IXL Leaderboard Challenge in Literacy Lab. Adleigh mastered 15 ELA skills!
The JV girls game for tonight at Oxford is postponed and moved to Monday. There will be practice from 3-4.
The modified softball game will be cancelled tonight. There will be no practice today.
May is Better Speech and Language Month!
It is an opportunity to raise awareness about hearing and speech problems, and to encourage people to think about their own hearing and get their hearing checked.

Congratulations to our varsity Baseball team for their big win in the MAC tournament tonight 9-1 victory against the Delaware Academy Bulldogs! Their next game is on Friday at Sidney at 4:30 p.m.

Afton varsity softball won its third game in a row with a win against Harpursville. We opened the game up in the third inning scoring 6 of their 12 runs. Makenna Schultz went three for three scoring three times. Megan Racine went three for four. Misty Bushaw went three for four with a triple and three RBIs. Catherine Crocker went two for two with an RBI. Zeta Bushaw got the win on the mound with seven strikeouts, six walks and giving up six hits. Great job, Team!
Last night, Afton varsity softball took the win over Walton 17 to 2!
The bats were hot with 17 team hits. Misty Bushaw gave up 4 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3 in the win on the mound. She went 1 for 2 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Megan Racine went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's. Alyssa Spathelf went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Avree Wrench went 2 for 2 with an RBI. Emilie Hopkins was 2 for 2 with an RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Kathleen Charette went 2 for 3 with 2 stolen bases. Ariana Florance went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs.
