Afton FFA attended the 99th NYS FFA Convention in Buffalo, NY. Congratulations to Spencer Wrench for receiving his FFA empire degree… the highest honor at state level you can receive for your hard work as a FFA member. Mrs. Reeder was a finalist for 2024 NYS Golden Owl Award. FFA Students participated in a day of service where they created beautiful floral arrangements for a local hospice. They also attended workshops, played convention bingo at the expo, and toured Crag Burn golf course. During the golf course tour, students learned about turf management and the equipment needed to maintain a golf course.
The Afton Varsity baseball team won against Schenevus 8-1 on Saturday. Justin Reeve hit a grand slam and dominated on the mound. We finished our regular season with 12 wins and two losses. We are heading to the MAC this week and preparing for sectionals.
The modified softball game for today is cancelled. There will be practice today 3:00 to 4:30.

The varsity boys baseball team won in their senior night game against Sidney 9-3 last night! Ryan Wright struck out 18 and hit two trips. Carter Burns earned four RBI's! Great job, Team!

Ryan Wright struck out 12. Ryan and Justin Reeves both had 3 RBI’s. Next on the schedule is Greene Tuesday.
The 6th-graders (Class of 2030) started to sell their tickets for their Brooks Barbecue Dinner fundraiser!
Tickets will be sold at the home game at 11:00!
