Afton Crimson Knights Knight News Brought to you by Afton Central School Students March 14 2024, Recent Events By Amelia Lawrence, Raygan Bullis and Mason McArthur Photo Credit: Mrs. Lucchese, Nathan Donholt, Roman Lucchese This week started the second round of Twilight Knights. This session the groups are: Gizmos and Minecraft, Play-Doh, Spanish, Coloring, Newspaper, Pool, Jewelry Making, Puzzles, and Games and Outside Play. The elementary office reports that there are 82 students total in this session of Twilight Knights. Tuesday, March 12th the elementary performed at the Music In Our Schools Month Concert. The 5th grade band performance was wonderful. It was clear that the students and Mr. Bittner worked very hard to prepare for the concert. The 4th and 5th grade chorus performed two songs. Mikayla P. sang and performed the pieces in ASL. The performance was beautiful. Which is Better? By, Mason McArthur This week students debated which is better: pizza or pepperoni roll. The verdict is in and the answer is, PIZZA! Pizza got 67% of the vote. What percentage of the vote did pepperoni roll get? With Pi Chart showing Pizza is more popular than pepperoni rolls. Next week students will vote on which is better: pool or P.E.? Featured Adult: Mrs. Sabol By, Amelia Lawrence and Raygan Bullis Photo Credit: Ivan Lans What is a book you would recommend? “The Babysitters Club or the Wings of Fire series.” What is your favorite tv show? “I don’t watch t.v., but I do watch the bills.” Do you have any pets? “Yes, 3 dogs, 1 bearded dragon, 2 anoles, 3 curly tailed lizards, 4 white lipped tree frogs, a parrotlet (bird), a tarantula, 2 chickens, 11 ducks, and a giant hermit crab.” What’s your favorite place you’ve been on vacation? “Florida Keys or Alaska.” What restaurant would you recommend? “The Fat Cowboy."
