BGAH Indoor Track competed in the Section IV State Qualifiers this past Sunday at Cornell University. Qualification for this meet requires athletes in running events to be in the Top 24 and in field events Top 18 to qualify into this meet. The top two in their event are advanced to the NYSPSHAA State Meet at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island. Connor Davy won the Boys 55m Dash, while Maddie Ingham (1000m) and Thomas Joyce (300m) both placed 3rd, allowing them to be part of the Section IV intersectional relay. These results are particularly excellent, as Indoor Track does not use classes or divisions for school size at this meet, meaning our athletes had to defeat others from all of Section IV. Congratulations to our BGAH Bears Indoor Track athletes!

They earned nine straight wins to start the season, a 1st place finish in two tournaments, and a 2nd place finish in the MAC out of 11 teams. Congratulations to these girls and thank you to everyone for your support this season!

Afton Elementary 3rd-5th grade Bright Knight recipients enjoyed a special
trip to Ripics Carousel Lanes in Binghamton on February 12th. An amazing time was had by all-with no time to spare-between knocking down pins, enjoying great friendships and eating delicious food. One of the kids was quoted as saying this is "right down my alley". That's how our Bright Knights roll. We look forward to our next Bright Knights trip at the end of the year.
