Hello, Afton Community!
We are so thankful for the generous donation of $2,000.00 by the Afton Alumni Association for food for our FFA Food Pantry. Thank you for your support!
Ernie Cutting Jr., representing the Afton Central School Alumni Association, recently presented Cat Reeder, Afton FFA Food Pantry Coordinator, and FFA Advisor with a generous $2,000 donation. This contribution will directly support the pantry’s ongoing efforts to provide food to students, families, and community members in need.
“The support from our Alumni Association truly means so much to our students and community,” said Mrs. Reeder. “Their commitment helps us keep the pantry going and reminds our students how strong community connections can make a real difference.”
Providing responsible stewardship to our facilities.
The project will expand opportunities for students in a number of ways, including enlarging CTE spaces to accommodate growing programs and new technologies needed for student learning, repurposing non-instructional space for instructional use, creating specialized learning hubs where a variety of students can access equipment for learning, and expanding specialized programming for students to help meet the needs of our component districts, through the creation of additional learning spaces at our existing campuses and the purchase of the Masonville School.
Community members in the 16 school districts of DCMO BOCES will have an opportunity to vote on the project on February 3, 2026. Learn more at www.dcmoboces.com – click on the Capital Building Project link, found in the top right corner of every page.

Providing safe and secure spaces will include building a new entrance for CTE students at the Harrold campus, creating secure vestibule entrances at both campuses, and renovating classroom spaces and shops to improve safety and security.

We are thankful for Martin Luther King Jr.'s inspirational leadership promoting equality. Classes will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20th.

The proposed DCMO BOCES Capital Building Project focuses on these “Core Four” principles: providing a safe and secure space for students; building in the flexibility to react to changing needs in the future; expanding opportunities for students, and providing responsible stewardship to our facilities.
